One thing that has always made me crazy is Colorado's stupid legislated days off for Liquor stores and Car Dealerships. Now there's two hard working contingencies that need a break.
Both of these laws are forms of collusion (in my opinion) on the part of different contingencies to make sure that I could not purchase these two things on one of the two days I have off each week, effectively reducing my access by 50%. Yes, I know the liquor law is cloaked as a religious issue (which we all know is crap), but at the end of the day – both liquor stores and car dealerships simply wanted to legislate a day off. If everyone can't sell on Sunday, then competition is neutralized.
Of course both of these laws totally flip the bird to the consumer. Liquor sales and car sales are both consumer retail businesses. I have no interest in making life easier for these two contingences. If they didn't want to work on weekends then they should be wholesalers. It looks like the liquor thing may finally be straightened out (after 75 years). Good.
Buying a car is already such a pain in the ass, maybe we should just amend the current law to get rid of all retail car sales. That way these guys can have every day off and I'll just buy through online auto brokers.

I personally love the fact that car dealerships aren't open on Sunday. It gives me a chance to browse without being constantly harassed by salesmen.

Right on Todd. I've always been baffled by both those anti-Sunday laws. At least one of them will (hopefully) be changed soon.
