Hillary was my candidate….
My thesis was that Middle America, while unhappy with the Bush administration, could not vote for a black man. I also thought it unlikely that they would vote for a woman. I have no issue with either. I just don't want a dolt, be it woman, man, black, white, republican, or democrat.
My concerns are that the Republican Party will wage war against experience. Be it Hillary or Barack, the argument would be the same. Neither have direct experience.
I favored Hillary, simply because I thought – the less analytic among us – would "get comfortable" that while Hillary did not have the direct experience, Bill would be rambling around the Whitehouse –somewhere- and could "help out", even if informally. While Barack although clearly brilliant, would be an island.
I watched most of the DNC. At least the parts I thought were pivotal. Barack feels like the real deal. He is a riskier candidate than Hillary.
He has my vote.
