For God sake, just raise the ticket price

I love the airlines now charging to check bags. Just what we need, MORE people trying to cram their giant bag into the overhead bin.

Please, just raise the ticket price. You're going to anyway in another week.

yea. totally confused by this. overhead bins are already 4x booked. not looking fwd to my next flight. glad I can stuff 5 days into an "under the seat in front of me" sized bag. overhead bins are for chumps.

yeah! I was on a long cross-country flight last week. It is not just the overhead bins, with people carrying more onboard, the security lines and checking is chaos (and they are letting a lot slide), and boarding the plane takes forever with everyone lugging bags down the aisle.

And everything is a fee--curbside bag check $2 (plus high pressure from the dude for tips), a cookie $3, a sandwich $10.
